MATERIAL INNOVATION
Material innovation has always been part of the Svala philosophy. We continually explore thoughtfully developed materials that balance beauty, functionality, and a lower environmental impact. From coated canvas crafted with GOTS-certified organic cotton to cork, MIRUM®, Piñatex®, and BioVeg, every material is selected for its unique qualities and the role it plays within our collections. As material innovation continues to evolve, so will we.
SUSTAINABILITY AND GIVING BACK
Through our partnership with Ecologi, a tree is planted with every Svala order, helping support carefully selected reforestation and ecosystem restoration projects around the world. Together with the Svala community, more than 1,000 trees have been planted to date.
Ecologi partners with trusted organizations to restore forests, regenerate ecosystems, and protect biodiversity. Every Svala order contributes to these broader environmental efforts.

Svala collections are created in partnership with specialist manufacturers in Los Angeles and Asia, selected for their expertise, responsible production and labor practices, and commitment to quality.
Our Vita Tote collection is crafted in China by a specialist manufacturer with expertise in coated canvas and innovative materials.
Our Svala Originals collection was crafted in small batches in downtown Los Angeles using next-generation materials including MIRUM®, Piñatex®, BioVeg, and cork.
